Meet Megan Anne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Anne.

Megan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I honestly don’t know where to begin. I grew up in a sports family (swimming and volleyball mostly). That’s where my love for fitness began and it just grew from there as a competitive swimmer and high school volleyball player. I starting lifting weights at the age of 10 years old. I really got into training in college, where I was a strength and conditioning coach for 12 athletic teams and hundreds of athletes. Soon after finishing University. I got a job at the local high school as a Varsity Soccer and Volleyball Coach and a PE teacher and personal training clients on the side.

One day I decided that I wanted to turn my part-time business into a full one. I love being apart of people’s fitness journey. I know where they have been having lost over 100 pounds myself. When I was younger, I gained a lot of weight after my thyroid stopped working. It turns out I was allergic to everything I was eating. The big things being gluten, apples, bananas, and so much more. After the knowledge, I gained in college and training people and through my own fitness, I feel like I have an understanding of what my clients are going through on a personal level.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Never a smooth road. Almost three years old, I have a tonsillectomy. Ten days post-surgery had an arterial bleed and bleed for 36 hours straight before being rushed into emergency surgery to close it, which left me unable and too weak to function for months. I went from working three jobs and working out three hours a day to needing a wheelchair and a walker to move around. I also have injured my back multiple times. I have three bulging discs in my lower back. I really got into injury prevention and rehab of injuries because I have had so many of them off I educated myself, so that doesn’t happen to my client’s

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I specialize in weight loss, jury prevention, and rehabilitation of injury mostly healthy life transformation. I foremost believe life is about balance and being physically able to do whatever you want and I help people find that.

What sets me apart for other businesses is that I’ve been where they have been from being overweight to an injured athlete to a functioning healthy life. I also believe in training my clients to be fit for life. It’s important to me to teach my client tools they can take away from our training. I firmly believe in being fit for life and there’s nothing better than being apart of someone’s fitness journey and helping them find a love for fitness and a healthier lifestyle. Something that sets me apart is I have a diverse background I spent the ages of 5-10 years old living in the middle east and the ages of 10-19 in England.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
So many people have help with my success, such as professors, clients, friends, and most of all family.
