Hi Mark and Mahogonee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2020, everything changed. The pandemic forced everyone to slow down. For Mark and me, it gave us something invaluable—time. We used it to work on skills we had but never had enopugh time to hone – design and branding.
Since 2016 I was working as a social media manager, helping brands connect with their audiences online. I liked it but realized what I loved more was creating websites and the branding that made them come alive. At the same time, Mark was doing logos and designs on the side for friends who were also starting busineses during the pandemic.
At first, it was just something fun we were good at. Soon we realized,we weren’t just good at design but it was something we loved doing. We had the skills to help business owners stand out, and people were coming to us for exactly that.
That’s when the idea for Mplementr Virtual Solutions was truly born. For me, this shift wasn’t just about starting a business—it was about owning my creativity in a way I never had before..When I landed a new remote job in the personal development field, I saw firsthand how powerful good branding could be in helping businesses grow and connect with their audience. I knew then that I wanted to build something that would help other entrepreneurs show up confidently online.
We poured our time and energy into learning everything we could—branding psychology, web design, user experience, you name it. We went from designing for friends to helping businesses bring their brands to life through custom Showit websites, logos, and cohesive branding. 2024 is when business took off and there’s been no turning back since

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, we had some bumps along the way. Starting out, imposter syndrome was huge. We didn’t feel like we were good enough for people to trust their business and brand with. Lack of confidence kept us from pricing our services to match our value and truly putting ourselves out there as business owners. In the beginning, we undercharged for our work simply because we didn’t know our worth.

Also, finding the balance between growing a business but not becoming burnt out. There is so much that goes into starting and running your own business that others don’t tell you about. It can feel like a round-the-clock job. We had to put up healthy boundaries with ourselves and with our clients. Once we had this in place, we were able to better organize our time and talents.

We’ve been impressed with Mplementr Virtual Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We kept seeing talented entrepreneurs struggle with their online presence, trying to DIY their brand and websites or ending up with designs that felt totally disconnected from their business. They had the talent and an amazing business, but their brand wasn’t reflecting that. We knew we could help. That’s really where Mplementr was born.
