Meet Mariah Smith and Mariah Lammers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariah Smith and Mariah Lammers.

Hi Mariah and Mariah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We both started our hairstylist careers almost 9 years ago!

Mariah: I started my career as an assistant and learned how to advance my skills as a new stylist. I did that for over two years. I finally felt ready to be on my own and joined a corporate salon that I was lucky to call home for 6 years!

Mariah: I started at that same corporate salon right out of beauty school. I was able to build an amazing clientele and work with talented stylists. I’m so grateful for the 8 years I had there!

We both had our second babies in 2021 and decided it was time to be our own bosses. We got a studio together and haven’t looked back!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, we have been super blessed that things have been pretty smooth sailing. Everything has fallen into place. It affirms even more that we are on the right path.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We both specialize in blondes, lived-in hair color, and hand-tied extensions!

Education is extremely important to us. We regularly attend industry-specific classes to stay up to date with new techniques and trends so that our clients are receiving the most elevated service possible.

Mariah Smith is Redken color certified, Topknot extension certified, and is midway through a new hand-tied extension certification!

Mariah Lammers is Topknot extension certified, Olaplex certified, and has taken many advanced color and cutting classes!

The integrity of our client’s hair is number one for us. We want our clients to have the perfect hair for them. So we really take into consideration their lifestyle while keeping them fresh and trendy!

What makes you happy?
First and foremost, our clients!

Being able to give someone the look they’ve been dreaming of is the best feeling. Our clients become our family and some of our best friends. Second, we get to be artists!

We choose patterns, placements, and formulas. Watching it come to life at the end of every service fills our souls. This isn’t just a job for us. It’s our passion.
