Meet Maria Fesler of Tippi Toes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Fesler.

Hi Maria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sarah Nuse started Tippi Toes in 1999 while attending the University of Oklahoma. It was a life-changing event when she was fired from her job as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant after deciding to miss her shift and attend a football game in a neighboring state. She had a car payment that needed to be made and thought long and hard about what she would do. Her mother suggested she fall back on what she had loved doing as a child, dancing. Sarah attended Miss Shelly’s School of Dance as a child and spent summers running dance camps for the neighborhood children in her family’s front yard. Sarah visited her first preschool, introducing her new dance company, Tippi Toes, shortly after. The concept took off, and the rest is now history! Tippi Toes was on season 2 of Shark Tank. There are currently 36 Franchises in 14 states and 1 Corporate location in Scottsdale, AZ.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The company had slowly and organically grown for over 20 years, never realizing the full potential of franchising. In 2022, owners Sarah Nuse and Megan Reilly invested in several resources to assist in the growth of their business, hiring a VP of Franchise Operations and a Manager of Programming. They also partnered with Franchise Fastlane to help market the business and franchise opportunity to potential nationwide owners.

As you know, we’re big fans of Tippi Toes. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
Tippi Toes is a franchised, mobile dance company bringing dance to preschools, daycares, elementary schools, and community centers. Our vision is to instill confidence, positivity, and joy into the lives of children. Our mission is to cheerfully provide children with a joyful, positive, and nurturing environment through dance. Our program is designed to work easily in schools as we take on everything associated with enrolling students, communication with parents, and payments. Parents love the convenience of having their children participate in dance classes within their school. We offer year-round classes, open and flexible enrollment, where children can start a Tippi Toes class anytime! We write and feature the music that kids and parents love! The music is original, age-appropriate, and always uplifting. I am the Vice President of Franchise Operations and have worked with Sarah and Megan for the past year. I oversee all operations with the existing franchises and secure our foundation for the rapid growth we anticipate over the next several years. I also oversee our first corporate location in Scottsdale, where we have experienced amazing growth over the last 8 months. We are now in over 25 schools and have over 200 children enrolled. We are excited about our future growth and expansion across the United States!
