Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcus Heckman.
Hi Marcus, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
FryAholics, like every business, started with a dream. What I’m doing with FryAholics is bringing restaurant-quality flavors and presentation to loaded fries. I love loaded fries, but it’s a mess with little flavor wherever you go to get them. So I’m doing Pop-ups at another local spot called Prep & Pastry to continue building my name and get my own restaurant or a food truck.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth road? No, it hasn’t had to do everything out of my pockets while supporting my family and ensuring bills are paid. It has been a challenge, but I’m up for it. To make my dream come true and provide a better future for my wife and son fuels me to work harder each day.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a chef. I love to create and serve great food that puts smiles on customers’ faces. What I’m known for is bringing bold and creative flavors together. Most people wouldn’t think of putting on loaded fries. I like to go outside the norm and excite people’s taste buds.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
What’s most important to my success is my love for what I do. It makes going to work every day fun and exciting. But like everyone else, there are those days when I’m not feeling it, but I have my wife and son in my corner, continuing to push and support me.
