Meet Marcial J. Paredes and Lynne Loera of M&L Creative Designs in Valley Wide

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcial J. Paredes and Lynne Loera.

Marcial and Lynne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started this business about a year after getting married. After realizing how expensive and stressful it was to plan a wedding, like a lot of DIY couples, we decided to build our custom pieces to showcase at ours to save a little money. In the beginning, I had planned to simply sell everything we had built, but my wife Lynne, suggested we try to rent them out to others instead. After giving it some consideration, I realized this was a good idea. We then got approached by someone about renting our pieces out. That instantly sparked interest again, and from there we decided to make it a goal and officially start our own business.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t exactly been a smooth road. From the learning curb to dealing with our jobs, children and now our small business. There are certainly some challenges along the way, but it has also been very exciting and rewarding. We are looking forward to seeing this business grow and one day become what we have envisioned for it.

Tell us more about the business.
Our business offers handcrafted event rentals and custom/creative services. We build most of our inventory here, from arches, backdrops, props, donut walls and much more. We are currently working on growing our inventory and creating custom pieces that we hope can be enjoyed at many events.

We also offer custom/creative services to customers who are looking for a personalized or unique piece of their own, whether it’s for an event or their enjoyment. We will design and build custom pieces upon request. We make various woodwork and hand painted items. What’s best is that we love to see our customers happy with our creations, so we work hard to stay within most budgets.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We see this industry staying strong for years to come. Trends change from year to year so we have to be willing to change with them. Always learning and creating new things.
