Meet Marcela Saenz and Aubrey SanMiguel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcela Saenz and Aubrey SanMiguel.

Marcela, Aubrey, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Aubrey and I (Marcy) met while working at a restaurant together for several years. We would often get asked to bartend parties for friends and family and enjoyed doing so, as a way to use our skills outside of the restaurant. Before we knew it, we had accidentally started something. Once we realized we had the necessary skills to meet the growing demand for mobile bartending, we decided to create something that was uniquely ours. We combined our experience in hospitality, marketing, and of course, bartending, to create Sippin Sweets.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Surprisingly, it has been a smooth first year for us. Both Aubrey and I have a clear picture of what we want this business to be. We have been very fortunate to have several mentors that have guided us and taken the time to show a genuine interest in helping us grow our business.

Please tell us about your company.
Sippin Sweets is a mobile bartending company, meaning we bring the bar directly to our customers. Like most other mobile bartending companies we are not able to provide alcohol. However, we provide the service and offer a variety of other add-on such as a mobile bar set up, mixers, tables, chairs, and customized cocktail menus. What we are most proud of as a company is our dedication to our customers, which we show through hard work, professionalism, and passion for what we do.
