Meet Maggie Gibbs of Em & M Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Gibbs.

Hi Maggie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Maggie, a licensed Aesthetician I graduated from the Aesthetics program at Rogers Academy of Beauty here in Prescott, AZ late last year. It’s been a long-time dream of mine to be an Aesthetician & permanent make-up artist. My journey began when I came to the realization I was working a job in the medical field that my heart wasn’t in and the most important reason and biggest inspiration to go for my dream job is as a single mother my top priority is to provide the best life I can for my son.

I knew the time was now! With the support of my amazing family and close friends, I made the best leap of faith in myself and I left my job and started the Aesthetics program, by November of last year I had graduated and got my license. I did it! I’m now building my clientele and loving the direction my career is taking at an Incredible salon Crimson Chair here in Prescott!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout my journey, I’ve had many challenges and struggles along the way but I’ve chosen to persevere through and find the beauty in the struggles. In my experience, if you keep pushing hard enough and believing in yourself never giving up on your dreams something life-changing in the best possible way will come knocking on your door.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I named my business after my Son Emerson and my best friend Emilly that passed away last year during my school because without them I might not have ever had the courage to go after my dreams.

I specialize in skin care, facials/waxing, and makeup. Thrive off helping my clients embrace their inner beauty! I’m in the process of continuing my education and adding permanent cosmetics to my expertise. I truly love pampering my clients and helping them feel beautiful in their skin!
