Today we’d like to introduce you to Madisson Shay.
Madisson, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
No story can be simple; yet, isn’t that the beauty of it? We each have a story, and we all have the basic human desire to be a part of something; I am no exception.
My story involves a deeper way of seeing life. I see life as the brightest opportunity to DO more, SEE more, and BE more.
Ever since high school, I have grown a fierce sentiment to teach others about their worth and how loved they are.
We all get too caught up in our realities, that we far too often forget who we are, and the definitive power we each attain. Thus, I have a deep, ingrained passion in me to show others how incredibly loved, worthy, and truly phenomenal they are.
We are all called to live the life we desire; though, we forget our power and thus, naturally mitigate our journey.
I am currently in the process of writing a book that portrays more detail about how to live a life of authenticity, vulnerability, intentionally, all while knowing and discovering our worth.
Life is not meant to be mediocre; in anything and everything I do, I strive to shows this to others.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I have learned a very valuable lesson over the years, and that is that any mountain worth climbing is not easy.
There will always be opposition, especially while in the process of doing more, being more, and seeing more.
We each have the unique power within all of us to either choose the smaller or larger mountain of life.
The smaller mountain, by no means, has as good of a view as the larger mountain. This is due to the undertaking of vulnerability, courage, struggle, and pure rage of climbing the larger mountain of life.
Therefore, I indeed, have had struggles along my path; especially once I had discovered what I was here to do; inspire others.
This is usually how that process goes, isn’t it?
You face the most opposition once you are intentional in walking in your purpose.
Side note: I personally believe that every individuals’ purpose is to love others, and in that, we find our calling (career/lifestyle-wise).
Once I began stepping out of my comfort zone in sharing my light, speaking my truth, being vulnerable and authentic, I acquired “haters.”
And man, doesn’t that confirm that I am doing something, right?
Obstacles and challenges are part of living.
It is insane to me how scared of fear that people become.
Fear is only what we define it as!
To me, fear is a movement.
Fear is only steps being built to where you desire to go; rather than simply roadblocks.
FEAR:
False
Evidence
Appearing
Real
Too often we let fear take over; naturally mitigating our power.
We give allowance to every aspect of our life. You can either give allowance to fear or courage; not both simultaneously.
We create our own limits. Say it aloud: “we create our own limits.”
Once you put fear into the box that it belongs in, you suddenly have broken any limitations.
What’s your worst-case scenario?
You fail?
Failure is only failure if you define it as such. Otherwise, “failure” can be defined as movement.
Once we realize that we DEFINE our life, and every meaning within it, we become limitless.
So I encourage you: no matter the obstacle, crush your limits, and live a limitless life.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Realty ONE Group story. Tell us more about the business.
My journey has various avenues and paths that I’ve explored, and continue to venture, especially in regard to careers.
I am a marketing director and executive assistant for a real estate agent and his team.
I am the head of recruiting for all of Realty One Group, Arizona.
I do public speaking events and find joy in teaching people about their worth.
I am a part-time Barista at Palette Collective coffee.
I am also involved in ministry work and marketing for my church.
Thus, it is not easy for me to define “what I do.” However, in everything I do, I always find ways to be intentional, authentic, connective, open-minded, and bold.
Ever since high school, I have always found myself craving authenticity; and quickly learned that authenticity can only stem from vulnerability. I noticed how difficult it is for us as humans to be vulnerable; especially due to our chosen realities. Ones entangled in our fears, insecurities, doubts, etc. Living an authentic, intentional life is not easy; though, it is extremely worth it.
My story, no matter the carrier path, or job position, I will always define my journey as “an intentional process of authenticity” and encouraging others to do the same.
I am far most proud of my brand of living intentionally, in all things.
If I had to mention anything that I feel sets me apart from others, it would be the distinct desire to be vulnerable and authentic. I see this as the best way to live intentionally, make connections, and be truly successful in life.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I am not entirely sure that I can define a single moment as my proudest moment.
However, I can absolutely say that I find the deepest amount of pride in moments of genuine connection with people who approach me, telling me that I have made an impact in their life, in some way or another.
I have had countless people say that my vulnerability and authenticity has encouraged others to do the same and discover their worth.
That is why I choose this journey. When I speak of the power of connections, these are the interactions I am referring to. The interactions that tell you that no matter how many people point out your flaws, insecurities, doubts, etc. You are making a difference, and people need what you have to offer.
