Meet Macey Sierka

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macey Sierka.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My “story” is pretty simple. I was born and raised in beautiful Arizona and absolutely love the desert. I’ve grown up with two amazing parents and little sister who inspire me to be my best self! I am about to start college at ASU in a few weeks and am excited for this next step in my journey.

Please tell us about your art.
Landscape and product photography are both really fun, but I love taking pictures of people. There is something so special about being able to capture a special time in someone’s life, like graduation or an engagement, and being able to make someone feel confident. My main goal through photography is to be able to capture moments that people will cherish for a lifetime.

Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
As a photographer, I know all about the financial challenges that come with producing art. I am always wanting to purchase new equipment, but I’m about to be a college student, so that’s not too easy. It’s all about being creative and working with what you’ve got!
