Meet Lynda Dickens of Euphoria Reign Salon in Youngtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynda Dickens.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Let me start with our vision statement, it’s stylist drive to maintain a comfortable atmosphere that allows for the proper mixing of tranquility and personalized attention to create a memorable and rejuvenating experience. 

Our mission is to provide superior quality service at superior prices, so that all of our clients can enjoy the bliss of having their well being and beauty maximized. 

I have been in the industry 20 plus years, and have had the fortune of being licensed in several States. 

I started my endeavors longing to enhance one’s natural beauty. I’m a licensed instructor of cosmetology, a state examiner and my love for community has caused me to implement several programs at our salon.

 Number one, we cater to people who are either afflicted by cancer or who are going through treatments like chemo or radiation .  Not only do we provide hair services for them, but we have implemented wigs as well as hair replacements for our clients.

We also have coalition service partnership with Heaven’s Healing Hands Non Profit on two of St Vincent de Paul Campuses to render haircuts shampoos and shaves the homeless. 

We are also a 100% vegan salon, that uses the product line REF. I love our industry as much as I did over 20 years ago.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There’s always struggles in business as a single woman, but my trust and faith have enabled me to get over those challenges with grace. I always find myself looking for people who are willing to work hard and fully invested in helping others . This has been one of my greatest challenges or obstacles.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Euphoria Reign Salon – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a color specialist so I specialize in providing the most natural looking color. I’m known for creating custom colors that looks so natural that you look like you came out of your mom with that color. I am most proud of our community service, and I believe what sets us apart from everybody else is that we maximize wellness, beauty with the focus on allowing inner beauty to emerge promoting one’s  Euphoria to reign.

Is there anyone, in particular, you would like to recognize? Mentors, etc?
I have had so many different mentors in my life that it would be hard to list the many strong women and men whom have crossed my path, but I want to give a special credit to my dad who is no longer on this Earth. He instilled in me such a great work ethic that releases inner strength that motivates me to never give up on my dreams, and this foundation enables me to tackle and accomplish my objectives now and in the future.
