Meet Lulu Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lulu Rose.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m a Los Angeles-based Polish-American singer-songwriter known for my powerful voice, pop anthems and heartfelt ballads. I was born in Poland, and came to the U.S. to study performing arts at Oakton College in Chicago, then moved to Los Angeles to attend classes in music theory, music business, and songwriting. Pursuing my craft seriously opened doors to perform at clubs, open mics, small venues and showcases. Always dedicated, I expanded my range as a performer with acting coach Margie Rogers, gaining confidence, poise under pressure, and the ability to communicate the powerful emotions that inspire my music. Under the guidance of my vocal coach Roxie Wallis, I began gaining attention for my cover songs inspired by Demi Lovato, Halsey and Sia. I released a music video for my first single “Lose Control” in October 2017. My second single “Anthem” was released in April 2018.

Please tell us about your art.
I find inspiration from greats such as Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Jessie J and Ariana Grande. My first single and music video, “Lose Control” revealed an artist who captures the voice of a generation of youth who work hard and play harder. My second single “Anthem,” is a powerful song dedicated to those who have faced hard times, hatred or discrimination. The stirring lyrics and well-sung melody lift our spirits and remind us to spread unity and love to all people. My next single is set to be released in September 2018.

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I believe life become easier for artists in recent years, we have so many platforms that we can showcase our art today. Social media opened a lot of doors, that usually were only available for artist that were already signed. Between YouTube, Instagram and Spotify, people from all over the world can explore our art for free. I think it’s amazing that we all get a shoot!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
All of my music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon and YouTube. And my music video for “Lose Control” in on Vevo and YouTube.
