Meet Lori Baker of Connect and Nourish in Desert Ridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Baker.

Lori, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was running multiple businesses, working around the clock and fell into a cycle of chronic overwhelm. I knew I needed to learn more about the mind/body connection and apply it to my lifestyle so I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and transformed my life. Along the way, I shared tidbits of my new found knowledge to my family and friends and watched how it transformed their lives as well. It made me a believer. Lifestyle choices have everything to do with well-being.

I created Connect and Nourish as a vehicle to educate my clients on how to live their healthiest lives. We are education based and want every client to take something away that helps them stay on their path to wellness.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think if you pursue your passion project it just feels right. Struggles can become opportunities depending on how you look at them-right?

Tell us more about the business.
Connect and Nourish is where nutrition, mind and movement merge. Our team has 30+ years of combined experience in various wellness fields and we are passionate about spreading well-being to our community. We create custom programs to match our client’s needs and we offer several healing modalities including 1:1 health coaching, group health coaching, cooking demos, guided meditation, cognitive stick therapy, Thai yoga massage and sound healing which makes us unique.

We get delighted in seeing our clients become the healthiest version of themselves physically, spiritually & emotionally through simple lifestyle changes. We give them tools and allow them to make changes on their own.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would say that enrolling in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition before I burned out was my good luck.
