Meet Lorena Garcia of Bloguettes in Biltmore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorena Garcia.

Lorena, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Sakura and I started Bloguettes almost 5 years ago with the mission to empower entrepreneurs with all they needed to know about branding and how they could communicate their brand appropriately in the digital space to achieve growth and bigger success.

We started by traveling all over the country hosting small workshops (40-50 people) we would teach one day on branding and content strategy, one day on social media, and the last day design basics. While we were doing this our company became big on social media and more and more people started to know about us. What started as just workshops turned into full education platform. We started hosting webinars, speaking at other events, online classes and more.

We focused on education for the first 3 years and after that, we started realizing that our community did not just want to learn from us but wanted us to hold them by the hand and help them turn their ideas into successful brands. Now Bloguettes is a full creative agency! We are still focused on empowering our community but now we have the opportunity to help them on a personal level! We offer branding, web design, brand photography and social media and content strategy services. We believe all of them combined create aspirational brands that people want to be a part of.

We are extremely passionate about the work we do, we love being able to participate in this process with our clients, it’s amazing to meet people that are working so hard to turn their dreams into a reality.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has DEFINITELY not been a smooth road! Just like any new business it has been an incredible learning experience and we have learned so much!

Some of the challenges we have faced include:
– Overcoming self-doubt, as entrepreneurs the road is hard, not as glamorous as everyone thinks haha sometimes there are ups and downs and there are times when things get hard and you doubt that you will make it, that’s where your passion comes in! If you love what you do you will continue and make it a success.
– The right team, hiring the right people turned out to be more difficult than we thought. You not just need capable people but people that have the right attitude to fit into your company culture. Being an all-girls company added a little bit of a challenge to this too hahha
– The balance between working in the business and on the business! It’s hard to lead the company when you are focused on all the small details. Delegating was challenging but crucial.

Bloguettes is a creative agency. We see ourselves as our clients business partner while they are working with us, we work closely with them to understand who they are and who they want to be and strategize a plan to help them get there.

We offer 5 different services, we have clients that go through our whole process and get all the services and clients that we just help with specifics aspects. Our services are:
– Branding, we not just help to create beautiful brand identities but also help our clients with their brand strategy
– Brand Photography, we capture a brands story and what is it about through photography
– Web design, now a days a website it’s your grace to the world, we focus on building beautifully designed functional websites that fit into our clients’ business strategy
– Social Media, we don’t manage social media for our clients we develop a strategy and blueprint for them to follow
– Content strategy, nowadays it’s not just about putting content online, you need the right content to stand out

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Plans for the future include solidifying ourselves as the go to branding agency in the valley AND we are launching our own Stock photo site Stock that Rocks late July.
