Meet Lisa Savale of Savale in Old Town Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Savale.

Lisa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
For as long as I can remember, I have had the heart of an artist. I obtained a fine arts degree from ASU and have always been involved in art and design. I started working at Trouve, a fine antique store in Scottsdale, in 2000. When the owners decided to retire, I took it over and continue to offer fine and unique antiques as well as decorative paint and custom florals.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Of course, I’ve had obstacles. Everything from financial to marketing to relationships with customers, employees, and merchandisers. But all have helped me grow personally and professionally.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Savale – what should we know?
Savale is an official stockist of Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. We also have one of a kind treasures and provide fresh floral arrangements. We specialize in workshops so customers can learn how to use the decorative paint and we provide custom painting services to those who do not wish to do it yourself. We are extremely proud of the quality of our products and our customer service and strive for a unique experience.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?

None of my success would be possible without the Lord and His infinite wisdom and guidance. Also, working with and being mentored by Joan Colangelo has taught me about a display, purchasing, and design. Without my dear accountant and business advisor, this artist would still be dreaming of running this business. Of course, my husband is my biggest cheerleader, with support, and encouragement in endless supply.
