Meet Lisa J. Weiss

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lisa J. Weiss.

Lisa J. Weiss

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started as a Communications Officer specializing in process communications. I have worked in health care, the high-tech video and film industry, and high-tech before branching out independently. Once on my own, I entered the realm of facilitation and eventually what I call LeaderSELF Empowerment™ Coaching. I’ve been a consultant and entrepreneur for the last 22 years.

Over the last seven years, I have devoted my practice to helping strong, independent women who feel abandoned, lost, misunderstood, and alone reclaim their true voice and become comfortable in their bodies. I have also started to help/guide women and couples going through their second or more IVF process to navigate the complexities of the emotional rollercoaster ride it can be.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Struggle is such an interesting word. One of the things I’ve learned along the way is that each struggle is an invitation to learn something more about myself, which ultimately translates into being able to support my clients even more.

Being an entrepreneur always has its ups and downs. Personal and professional struggles have given me many opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Some of the things I have been through include two failed IVF attempts, a failed adoption, the collapse of my marriage, and, of course, the dance of the financial ups and downs, which, of course, sometimes leads to me doubting myself.

I consider myself to be very fortunate. I have created a beautiful community of people who support me unconditionally, and they are willing to tell me what they see/hear/perceive with the kindest hearts. I have also been fortunate to always find or be found by clients who are ready to Shift, Transform, and Evolve their world.

So, I welcome the moments of struggle as a way to deepen my understanding of myself and enhance the work I engage in.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
Some labels I use to describe myself include Transformation Maven, speaker, and author. I was very fortunate to be a co-author of the international bestselling book Emerge Be the Unmistakeable Authority in Your Field with Brian Tracy and 28 other global experts, and I am the author of Breath Sensations Words, both available on Amazon.

I specialize in helping women stand in the midst of the storms in their lives and come home to themselves. More recently, I have focused my attention on helping women navigate the emotional, spiritual, and mental rollercoaster of the IVF process. I went through the process myself, unsuccessfully, and now stand in a place where I feel I can share the wisdom and lessons I discovered along the way.

After working with individuals for over 25 years, I noticed individuals under stress have difficulty interpreting, integrating, responding, and articulating the information presented in their bodies. Things happen in life that cause you to cycle through three different states:

• Disembodied, in this state you find yourself hovering above your body, detached from what is going. You may numb yourself to not connect to what’s happening in your life. You may forget what you say or do and may fake how you feel as a way to fit in.

• Cerebral: this is when you live in your head, constantly creating stories, anticipating how conversations will unfold, and strategizing your actions and responses. You may have trouble expressing your feelings and are often on high alert.

• Be aware of where you want to make changes yet don’t know what to do or how to make them happen. You might find yourself feeling restless; everything from the outside looks fine, yet you are a hot mess on the inside.

Do these states sound familiar? Often, you are unaware of when you will be in any of these states, and you can cycle through all three within a short period of time. These states evolved as part of my Sensory Identification Cycle™ (SIC) model. It’s designed to help you self-identify where you might be at any given moment.

Those who choose to work with me are introduced to a process I that invites them to pay attention to the cues presenting in their bodies, learn how to engage breath as an invitation to relax into the stress or intensity and come out on the other side transformed. All roads lead to discovering what it means to be in an Aligned state, inviting them to stand solidly in the “I” of the storm.

My superpower lies in my ability to guide women to discover and explore the vibration of the words they are saying, internally and externally. Then, connect the words with the sensory cues presented in their bodies. The use of the four elemental breaths, Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, helps them to reframe how they feel about themselves and how they interact with others in their world.

What I’m most proud of in regard to my work is that it’s not strategy-based. My clients learn how to stand in the ‘now’, engage the intensity that presents within, honour themselves, and discover how saying “yes” inside themselves may sound like a “no” outside of them.

My brand is all about Shifting your perspective, Transforming your relationships, and Evolving your World. Women looking for a way to connect more deeply with themselves and those in their lives can step into one of my introductory You Are Ready… To Shift Your Perspective, Say Yes to YourSELF and Love Yourself evening conversations, and work with me either through my 1:1 or group coaching service offerings.

Alright, before we go, can you talk to us about how people can work, collaborate, or support you?
Women can work with me through my:

• 1:1 LeaderSELF Empowerment™ Coaching Process

• The Power of Seven Group Process, or

• Ask to be placed on the waiting list for my upcoming Navigating the Emotional Rollercoaster of the IVF Pilot Process.
