Meet Lily Bushnell of Currentlylily in North Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lily Bushnell.

Lily, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started selling on Poshmark when I was 17 just looking to clean out my closet quickly and get cash. After doing it off and on for a while, I started to notice things at the thrift store that were new with tags that even though I wouldn’t wear, I knew someone else would love, and that sparked the idea to make my business! I officially started reselling when I was 19 and have been loving it for the last two years. As of this year, I really started critiquing my style and finding my niche and that was when “currentlylily” was born!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I wake up so excited to get to do what I love and connect with the Poshmark community on the app and on Instagram. It has been a journey of constant learning and adapting to change but has definitely been worth it.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have an online boutique I run through the Poshmark app. I sell secondhand, gently worn or new with tag, clothing, shoes, and accessories. Over the years, I have developed a personal style and small niche of specific brands and styles I sell in my store.

I think people really enjoy shopping my store because they know they can expect a certain style of items and they can get inspired for new outfits and styles they had not considered before. I love to style people for different occasions, so it has been really cool to see my store evolve into not only a place to shop but also a place where I can help style people and create outfits for them!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always curious and creative. I remember ever since a young age, I wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up and have always loved fashion and interior design.
