Meet Lee Cates, Brian Rambo and Cody Johnston of Hitsquad Ninja Gym in Tempe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Cates, Brian Rambo and Cody Johnston.

Lee, Brian and Cody, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Our co-founder team is a great one-two-three punch of celebrity notoriety and savvy business sense. Brian Rambo, American Ninja Warrior star, 1st place holder in L.A. Qualifiers, with his day in Tempe, Arizona has 11 years of the business ownership experience. And Lee Cates, American Ninja Warrior competitor for season 10 and 11 making it to La City finals. Cody Johnston was selected for ANW season 7, 8 and 10. They draw from their passion for the sport and ability to imagine and bring to life new exciting workouts and obstacles. Together, they are an unstoppable, motivated force in the ninja community Lee and Cody are Marine and Navy veterans.

Has it been a smooth road?
Our biggest obstacle is balancing working full time jobs/students while running the gym and all being fathers to amazing ninja kids. Eventually, we plan on making a living opening more then one Hitsquad ninja gym location, currently we are not paying ourselves anything to operate and run the ninja gym.

We are Arizona 1st and only dedicated American Ninja Warrior Gym.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The Mayor of Tempe is a huge fan of the TV show and reached out to Brian Rambo after season 10 and awarded him August 30th Brian Rambo day in Tempe. Also as we were looking for a location to open up in, the City of Tempe was a huge help in helping us find the perfect building.

We do motivational speaking at a lot of the Kyrene school district elementary schools in Tempe about healthy eating and overcoming failure and helping raise money for the schools through the Step It up the program.

• Birthday Parties $300 for 12 kids, 1.5 hours private gym pizza with bottle water and 2 free week ninja classes for the birthday kid
• $10 for your 1st Trail ninja class
