Meet Lea Zibeth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lea Zibeth.

Lea, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.|
A quarter into my junior year of High School I decided I wanted to graduate that same year and start my life, so I began taking all the classes required for my junior and senior year at the same time, as well as attended community college at night. I came to Arizona from California to study at Arizona State University. My first jobs in AZ were at California Pizza Kitchen and Genos Pizza (lasted less than 1 year in total at both places). I also worked as a dramaturg for an ASU professor and helped with her published book, my title was Research Assistant for Scenes for Latinx Actors: Voices of the New American Theatre.

Then I studied abroad at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London over 1 summer, and became certified for contemporary drama. I was hired by Agency AZ for their talent and then by Phoenix Dimes for modeling. Then, entered the Miss Arizona USA competition and Miss Arizona Latina. I’ve done local runway and modeling, and have been featured on a Mercedes Benz commercial. This year I did powerlifting and won first place in my division for the state of Arizona. I’m a woman of many talents, and I think my resume speaks for itself.

From doing a room at Alcatraz Escape Games with the Miss AZ USA contestants I was compelled by the company, so I reached out to start working as one of their zombie actors. I saw an opportunity in helping them in other ways, and after a few months they promoted me to marketing director. I solely represented the company and had the opportunity to run a Fox 10 live segment/interview for them. I then got hired by Lavatory Phoenix as their marketing director. Hotshots Axe Throwing is a second business from the same owners of Alcatraz, they wanted me to also be the marketing director for that business. When I was trying to set up an event for Alcatraz with Phoenix Dimes, the owner said he was so impressed with me that he offered me a job in their marketing department.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest struggle was my mental health, I had a lot of personal issues I was going thorough for some time. It’s important to realize that we all have mental health and we need time to take care of ourselves. It’s okay to feel down and have feelings of anger, sadness or frustration, there’s no need to negate yourself those feelings, the important thing is getting back up.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
In part, yes. I believe in the law of attraction, which is that whatever you put out is what you will get in return. If you go on about life trying to sulk all the time and finding all the negative things in your life, that’s all you’ll ever see. If you try to find the positive in even the smallest things, your life will be filled with gratitude and happiness. I also believe that all the bad things that happen to us in life are there for a reason, so that we can overcome them,  become stronger and learn something new.
