Today we’d like to introduce you to Lavi Londonson.

Hi Lavi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I have been a Registered Nurse for 14 years and have specialized in Preop and Recovery and I loved the fast pace of the hospital environment. But during the pandemic things in healthcare really changed. Politics became a big player and I just felt it was time for a change. I have 3 kids and they did not like the fact that I had to also get up super early & miss getting them ready for school & such so that was hard on them.

Even the longer days & whether or not I’d be able to pick them up were frustrating. They didn’t deserve to have to worry about the unknown of mom was gonna be home when they woke up or when they got home. So that with everything else was a big reason I decided to leave the hospital.

So- I decided it was time to look into Medical Aesthetics. I love helping people feel confident in their skin! I love learning all the ways to encourage natural beauty, confidence, knowledge, and everything!! Getting certified in the aesthetics industry has completely transformed my views on healthcare. I love the independence of being able to spend as much time as I need to with each individual & that no two people are identical.

It has given me the freedom to be a mom, an entrepreneur, a leader, an educator, & driven to learn more about the industry & do my best to give each person the best care and attention possible! Aside from that my kids see me working hard at home & behind the scenes and it helps to motivate them to want to do something they may have thought impossible.

Today I own my own Aesthetics Med Spa & am thriving and blessed by each client & customer that walks through my door. I am excited about the future ahead & am looking forward to growing. Growth can be scary, but I am learning each day to embrace it & run with it & to be honest, it’s an amazing feeling!!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth? I wish. People said it wouldn’t be easy. I even had family say that opening my own place would be tough for me. They know I value my time with my family & maybe they thought that would be a hindrance. Instead, my family gets as excited as I do when things go well.

The upfront costs are a LOT!! You always hear the stories, ‘ohh it’s expensive.’ ‘Are you sure you can afford it’? ‘What if you fail?’ ‘How much does it all cost?’ ‘Are you serious?!!’ Etc..etc. I was fortunate to be able to do an apprenticeship stent for a few months after getting my certification, so that helped me identify what I wanted to do my way as well as what I didn’t want to do.

I think the biggest struggle, in the beginning, was trying to find work in this industry. Not many people will hire you without experience and then you can’t gain the experience if you aren’t working. Originally that’s what I wanted. To work at a place that would support my journey. But that was hard to come by. So… I suite shared with an esthetician for a few months, relied on my mentors to assist with questions, took more training & opened my books in Dec. 2021.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Aesthetics By Lavi RN opened in Dec of 2021. Being able to suit share during those first months helped me to grow at a comfortable pace. I was able to set my schedule according to what my family needed at the time. I specialize in Botox, Fillers, Morpheus8 Radio Frequency Microneedling, SkinPen Microneedling, Platelet Rich Plasma, IV Hydrations, Vitamin injections, chemical peels, medical-grade skin care, & more.

I think what sets me apart from other medical injectors is time & authenticity. I truly want to get to know you. I want my clients to feel like more than just a number or another dollar sign in my chair. Aesthetics can be scary & I don’t want it to be. It’s definitely not a rush job by any means. My space is comfortable & warm & relaxing. I am a believer & I have my uplifting music playing all the time. I don’t push anything on anyone & I talk to each client & create a plan that works for them & their budget. If they want to pass on something today, well, there’s always tomorrow.

I am most proud of the comfort aspect I hear from my clients. I have some that will go to other places and come back because I take my time & listen to them. And I am ok with that. People have said they chose me based on my personality online & in person is the same. What you see on my social media page is who I am and that’s who you will meet. So that’s been fun to hear. I want people to know that I am here for you. I can promise you that when you come in to meet me we will become friends, we will talk shop but also home life.

My family is always a part of my conversations lol… It’s fun to connect with people & I feel that’s what has been missing these last few years. A true connection. I do offer a wide variety of services. And if there is something you’re looking for that I don’t offer, then I will help find you the right person that does. Your face & skin are amazing, & it’s my job to show you how amazing you truly are!!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Oh gosh… best… I love that we have so many amenities close by. Safe for families, kids, etc. Being a parent that is huge. I love that we can hop on the freeway & be pretty much anywhere within a 20-30-minute commute. I love the school systems & the ability to choose where our kids can go to school. I love that the small business community has expanded & they are open to new businesses & events. Peoria is an amazing place to live & it’s only getting better.

What I like least… well… the lack of small mom & pop eateries, Which is quickly changing. We used to have to go to Scottsdale to get great food, but now it’s so much easier to stay local & support locals. So I am excited about the changes coming.
