Meet Lauren St. Williams of PHXGirlboss in Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren St. Williams, founder of PHXGirlboss.

Lauren, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
PHXGirlboss really started as a passion project. I have always had a desire to bring powerful women together. What started with a small group of like-minded women supporting each other in their business ventures and careers has now grown to a large network of women from all over the valley who show up for each other, collaborate together and support local businesses.

In the beginning, PHXGirlboss started supporting local women in business and bringing awareness to an ever-growing Instagram community about things happening around the valley, all while having a small private group of women. As the online community grew, the demand for events became more evident, and eventually, we transitioned into hosting events to incorporate real-life connections with the growing online community.

Has it been a smooth road?
Thankfully, the road has been very enjoyable because the community has been so positive and supportive. But there are always some bumps along the way. Most of our events have been free, to allow as many women as possible to connect with PHXGirlboss in the first year of events. That can be a struggle at times, but we have been so fortunate to have so many amazing people and businesses that we have been able to connect and collaborate with.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with PHXGirlboss – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
PHXGirlboss is a collaborative community focused on highlighting the best that the valley has to offer. We support local business in many ways by sharing information online,  collaborating and offering many events and valuable resources to local women entrepreneurs and business owners. We are known for our authentic community and amazing networking events.

I am so proud that PHXGirlboss is a community for every woman! There is no competitive mentality among women in our community. Everyone is truly committed to seeing others succeed, along with being able to network and grow their own business by the connections and referrals that come from being a part of PHXGirlboss.

We continue to expand and grow with the needs of the community. Not only do we offer a platform for businesses to market and network, but we bring consumers and entrepreneurs together in a very organic way that cultivates true relationships, loyal customers, and collaboration opportunities.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, no. It has grown in such a beautiful and organic way, and I’m so thankful for every person who has played a part in making it all happen.
