Meet Lauren Gurry of The Redhead Traveler in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Gurry.

Lauren, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My love for travel began when I was studying abroad in the fall of 2015. I was looking for a creative outlet to share my travel tips and photos to and that is when I started the Redhead Traveler. At first it was a way to show my friends and family my photos from my travels then it turned into something I wanted to continue after my study abroad experience. I have gotten to where I am today with a lot of hard work and trial and error in the way of finding what works best for me and how I want my brand to look.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think the biggest struggle is making time for Instagram and managing all of life’s challenges that are thrown my way.

Tell us about your work.
Travel Instagram. I think what sets me apart from others is that my Instagram has incorporated my red hair in it to make me stand out and add a different perspective to the photos. I am proud of the fact that I have had my photos re-posted by varies travel Instagram. I guess you could say I specialize in showing the beauty of traveling and tips along the way.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future including being able to travel more and continuing to grow my Instagram. I also want to dive more into photography and take some photography lessons. A Website/blog is also on the horizon.
