Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Cincoski.

Hi Laura, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
When I first started in this industry, I went to cosmetology school for nails. However, I quickly fell in love with cutting hair. I have been cutting hair for about 17 years in various locations, and owning my salon has been a dream for a long time. With my husband’s encouragement and support, my dream has finally become a reality.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part, it has been smooth starting up my salon. After being in the industry for so long, I knew what I needed to get started, but finding the right location was challenging. The location I found was perfect after having viewed a few other places, and the people around are all so encouraging and give off such a positive vibe. My biggest struggle was going to school for my undergraduate in business management while working and taking care of my family.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in haircuts and extensions. I work with many families for their haircutting needs and am most proud when kids come in and learn to love getting their haircut. It is gratifying working with special needs families and giving these families a safe space to get a haircut without judgment. I am one of the few places that don’t shy away from providing haircuts for the whole family. When anyone walks through my door, it is important that they feel comfortable and receive the best experience.

What does success mean to you?
Success is when clients keep returning, leaving with a smile, and referring others to come in and have the same experience.
