Today we’d like to introduce you to Krishawnda Fluellen.

Hi Krishawnda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m from Detroit and I’ve been cooking with my grandmother, aunt, and mother for 30+ years. Losing my auto claims position due to covid gave me the push I needed to start catering on my own. I’ve done personal event catering and club venue catering and I’ve been in love with my profession since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Catering is not always easy. I know I have delicious food, affordable pricing and I’m very flexible but business is slow at times due to me just starting and trying to get my name out.

I’ve noticed people like to stick to what they know and I’m new to the scene so I’m trying to come up with creative ways to get my vision and food to different events and venues.

My catering company offers delicious American, Chinese, soul, and seafood.

I bring a luxury experience with affordable pricing to any size event. What sets me apart from others in phoenix would be the taste of my dishes and my flexibility and willingness to assist my customers. I’m most proud of the amount of business I’ve been able to achieve in so little time and I hope to pass it on to my children.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me would be people genuinely enjoying what I have to offer and organically sharing their experiences.
