Meet Kevin Kittle of LooKitt Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Kittle.

Kevin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever since my youth, I’ve been fascinated by movies. The viewing experience, how they were made, the secrets behind special effects. It wasn’t until I met people in the local film community that I realized creating film and having it seen by an audience, was within the realm of possibility.

Shortly thereafter I entered my first film challenge, a national horror short competition, and I haven’t stopped since. Our most successful short to date is “Dead West”, a Western Horror mashup that’s shown in a single take all in first person view. It’s been featured in festivals across the U.S. and was one of only 10 films selected to play at a One-Shot festival in London.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If you’re on a smooth road, you’re likely doing something wrong. There have been smooth spots, but it’s been one challenge after another. Time constraints, budget constraints, bad weather, gremlins in the machinery. Each and every project has its own stories. The upside is, overcoming these struggles makes the end result that much more rewarding!

Please tell us about LooKitt Productions.
LooKitt Productions creates a variety of film and photography content. We also have the ability to create 360/VR videos. I believe what sets us apart from others is our ambition to create something totally unique. While we all have our influences, I like to think LooKitt Productions is infamous for pushing the boundaries of the status quo.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started sooner. I wouldn’t have wasted so many of the years of my youth with very little to show for it. I wouldn’t have let any self-doubt hold me back.
