Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Johnston.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Octavian was historically a UK company, having formed in 2003 – we soon became a marquee UK Security company, providing security guards throughout the country for many years. In 2011 we made the decision to make the USA our global headquarters. Having conducted business in Oklahoma to start with, we decided that Arizona was a business friendly state and a wonderful place to live. We have slowly grown our business in the Valley and California, over the past few years.

Octavian USA has developed in a full service Facilities Management with a specialty in Security Guarding (armed and unarmed) and janitorial services.

We are slowly expanding our footprint to the East Coast and see Octavian as becoming an emerging player in the US market.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been anything but a smooth road, transitioning to a new country has been challenging, but the US is the Holy Grail for business and entrepreneurship. We have been treated fantastically well and slowly grown our footprint, whilst learning the local customs and business protocols. Engaging clients to give a new player a chance is always something that is challenging, but we have been shown a leap of faith by our clients and have learnt the American Way – namely, anyone here can succeed if you are prepared to work hard and deliver on your promises.

We are very proud of our niche service as we run training programs and courses for every single client individually, which we feel is our bespoke service. We are small enough to care and large enough to matter. We do not feel that a broad brush approach is the way forward, bespoke is our mantra,

Strategically located in the South West
City of Phoenix is big but has the feel of a close community

Phoenix Sky Harbor really needs to increase the transatlantic flights and international foot print! We have to keep connecting in LA!
