Meet Kerri Ann Ronquist of Queen Creek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kerri Ann Ronquist.

Hi Kerri Ann, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I launched All About You Placement and Senior Resources, I wasn’t trying to
build a business, I was I trying to solve a problem that broke my heart – my dad’s
senseless death. After walking through the healthcare maze with my own family, I saw
firsthand how overwhelming and isolating it can be to navigate senior care without a
guide. That experience changed me, and ultimately it inspired me to change things for
others.
Today, I lead a team of seven women from right here in the East Valley, and we’ve
helped hundreds of families find clarity and comfort during one of life’s most difficult
transitions. Weve been recognized by the Queen Creek and Gilbert Chambers, and I’m
proud to share that All About You was awarded Small Business of the Year by the
Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. We were also voted Best of the East Valley for
Placement and Senior Resources by readers of the East Valley Independent
newspapers.

The Business Was Personal Before It Was Professional
My journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t traditional. It was emotional. I lost my father,
and in the wake of that loss, I faced a confusing, often disjointed healthcare system. I
kept thinking…where is the help? Why are these professionals not helping us to
understand what we don’t know? Those questions kept me up at night. Eventually, I
realized I wasn’t alone in asking it. So I decided to become the person I wish we had.
With certifications in patient advocacy, dementia care, and senior advising, I built a
service that’s not transactional, its relational. We don’t just make referrals; we personally
walk beside families every step of the way. It starts with a conversation, an
understanding of a diagnosis, and facing the challenges in finding the right placement
options – always centered in dignity and compassion. Our seniors, no matter what the
circumstances, deserve to live their best lives.

Authenticity as a Business Advantage
In the world of business, you’re often taught to lead with your head. But for me, leading
with heart has been my greatest strength. Clients don’t just want credentials, they want
connection. They want to feel safe, heard, and supported. That kind of trust is earned
through authenticity. What I’ve found is that when your work is aligned with your

purpose, growth becomes a byproduct, not the goal. Our company has grown
organically through relationships, community engagement, and word of mouth – proof
that purpose-led business models can thrive in Arizona’s competitive market.

Balancing Life, Family, and Leadership
Like many women business owners, I juggle multiple roles. I’m a wife, mom, nana,
daughter, friend, and a businesswoman. Finding balance isn’t easy. Its messy and
imperfect. But I’ve learned that boundaries are essential, not just for protecting your
time, but for protecting your much needed energy. I’ve faced burnout. I’ve missed
events. I’ve felt like an imposter and cried many tears of frustration and fear. But I’ve
also built something I’m proud of, something I pray my Mom, my family, my children and
grandchildren can look at and say, she made a difference. Also, something that my
incredible team of absolute angels on earth can feel proud of; that we collectively made
a difference and set new standards of care.

Advice for Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs
If there’s one thing I’d tell a woman who’s thinking about starting a business, it’s this:
You don’t need to have it all figured out. Start with your why. Stay true to your why and
values and surround yourself with people who challenge and support you.
I’m a proud graduate of both Gilbert Leadership and Queen Creek Citizen Leadership,
and I believe in the power of local networks. This state, its people, partnerships, and
programs have shaped who I am as a leader. Its proof that when women support
women, and when communities support local business, powerful things happen.

Expanding Impact: Supporting Seniors and Veterans in Their Homes
In addition to my placement and advocacy work, I’m also the co-owner of Seniors
Helping Seniors East Valley with my best friend and one of the most amazing, brilliant,
compassionate and genuine women I know, Sandra Dyk. Seniors Helping Seniors East
Valley is a non-medical home care company dedicated to supporting seniors and
veterans right where they feel safest at home. We provide companion services,
personal care, and everyday support, often through peer-aged caregivers who truly
understand the needs and rhythms of aging. Together, these two companies allow us to
serve the senior community more holistically whether they choose to age in place or
explore residential care options.

Looking Ahead
We’re expanding, innovating, and continuing to serve with the same mission that started
it all: making sure no family has to navigate senior care alone, and that we will help you
know what you don’t know. I often say that my dad is still with me, his legacy. It’s the
legacy of the strength and love of my mom and dad that lives on in every placement,
every conversation, every family we help. If you’re leading with heart and remain true
and clear to your WHY in your business, you’re not just making a living, you’re making a
difference.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My path has been filled with challenges, growing pains, and moments of deep reflection. But with every hurdle came an opportunity to grow, to lead better, and to become more aligned with my purpose. I look back and see how far we have come—not just me—but my entire team and the people who believed in our mission. I am incredibly proud of that progress, yet I know that where we are headed requires relentless commitment, accountability, humility, and courage. Success doesn’t come from comfort—it comes from showing up every single day, leaning into the tough conversations, knowing when to apologize, when to pivot, and when to stand strong.

Our growth came quickly—faster than I was ready for—and I won’t sugarcoat it, that was incredibly tough. But every challenge has made us stronger, more resilient, and more united in our mission. I am deeply grateful to have a husband who is in the trenches with me; between the two of us, we own multiple businesses, and there is no backup plan—it’s us. We fight for it, we work hard for it, and we believe in it.

One of the hardest but most powerful lessons I’ve learned is recognizing what I don’t know, and instead of letting that paralyze me, I’ve surrounded myself with people whose strengths complement mine. My business partner Sandy Dyk in Seniors Helping Seniors, and my Director of Operations at All About You Placement, has been instrumental in our growth. Trusting in her and the team fully and allowing them to operate in their superpowers has created space for our company to grow in ways I simply couldn’t have done alone. Adding Sydney to our amazing team (Phaedra, Deidre, Kerri, LeMinda, Dawn and Natalie) we now have has only reinforced one of my core beliefs: I am not afraid to build a team of people who are stronger than me in areas that are not my strength. This has never been about “me”—it has always been about “we.”

Our journey has not been smooth, but it has been meaningful, purposeful, and worth every step. Every struggle has shaped who we are as a team and as a company—and I am both humbled and grateful for the road we’ve traveled and excited for the road ahead which I KNOW has many bumps ahead but I have faith and WE are strong!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What we do is deeply personal. Through All About You Placement & Senior Resources my team and I are committed to being a steady, compassionate presence for seniors and their families during some of the most vulnerable and overwhelming moments of their lives.

We specialize in senior advocacy, placement, and in-home support—but our true work goes far beyond services. We step into people’s lives when they are facing medical, cognitive, financial, or emotional challenges, and we guide them with care, expertise, and heart. Whether the need is for a single moment of guidance or an entire journey of support, we show up—face to face, fully present, and fully invested.

What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to be the calm in the storm. We don’t hand people options—we walk the path with them. We don’t offer general advice—we provide personalized advocacy. We don’t focus on transactions—we build relationships grounded in trust, dignity, and humanity. Every member of my team shares this passion. We willingly choose this work every single day, not because it’s easy, but because it matters.

I am incredibly proud of the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to. We own our mistakes, we continue to learn, and we continuously evolve to better serve the seniors who place their trust in us. Our dedication to the community is not a marketing strategy—it is part of who we are. We invest thousands of hours each year in serving local nonprofits, leading educational events, hosting our annual Redefining Aging Conference, delivering our ICE Box life-planning workshops, coordinating senior living bus tours, and volunteering with the chambers and leadership programs that shape our region.

We do not simply work in this industry—we are changing the way aging is experienced. We are advocates. We are educators. We are servant leaders. And we are proud to be a voice and a lifeline for seniors and their families when they need it most. That is what sets us apart, and that is what drives everything we do.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
You are NOT alone!!!! Life is challenging and so many families are facing hard times and just don’t know where to turn to help their senior loved ones. I am incredibly proud of our team and the work we do. It is not easy—far from it—but it fills our hearts and fuels our purpose every single day. There is still so much more we are called to do, and we are committed to continuing that mission with passion and dedication.

When we work with families, many are surprised to learn that a service like ours exists and that it is completely free to them. We often hear, “I wish we had known about you sooner.” Our only request in return is that they share their experience with others. Our growth has been built through the trust, gratitude, and word-of-mouth of the very people we’ve helped. That is how we began, and that is how we wish to continue—through the power of people, community, and heartfelt connections.
