Meet Kelly Withers of Sparkle and Steel in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Withers.

Kelly, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For as long as I can remember I have always been driven, competitive and had a desire to be successful. Growing up that competitiveness started in sports and then as I got older transitioned into business. After college, I started my career in the pharmaceutical sales industry while also starting my training business, Sparkle and Steel on the side. After many years in the pharmaceutical sales industry, I achieved my goal of moving into medical aesthetics selling neurotoxins and fillers followed by lasers while still growing my training business which now also included a health/life coach certification.

In January 2015 as a new mom, my husband, son and I moved to Tampa, Florida for a management promotion I had received. We then moved to Charleston, South Carolina as my management position continued to grow along with my training/coaching business all while being a busy new mom!

In July 2019 my family and I moved back to Scottsdale for a new Regional Director position in the Dermatological market. We are very excited to be back in Arizona and I am looking forward to the future potential advances in dermatology and immuno-oncology for my corporate position as well as my training/coaching business Sparkle and Steel and helping women achieve their goals.

I am extremely passionate about helping women to understand that they CAN have it all! It is just a matter of finding the right balance with a smile on your face! #sweatpretty

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The harder you work and the more positive your attitude is the greater the outcomes you can achieve. In both my corporate as well as personal training/coaching I have had struggles. In the corporate world, I often had to prove myself and fight against “cliques”. I am a firm believer that hard work and tenacity pay off. You just need a smile on your face and a positive outlook when things get tough!

For my training/coaching, it has been lots of hurdles over the years! My training business has been almost 15 years in the making as I built it along with working a full time job and being a mom. Many late nights, putting it on the back burner, and almost quitting happened more times then I can count! But I knew it was my passion so I never gave up.

Please tell us about your business.
Sparkle and Steel specialize in women in business, health and life balance. I focus on treating everyone as an individual and building a program specifically for their needs, schedule and commitment. I am also very passionate about Infertility as my son is an IVF baby and I want to help support women going through infertility by working on their stress levels and overall health and mental wellness, I want women to know its ok to take a step back, regroup and refocus on YOU.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory is waking up Christmas morning and peaking over the stairs at the Christmas tree with its beautiful lights and all the presents under the tree. There is something so magical and peaceful on Christmas morning and the complete innocence of childhood.
