Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelcy Valletta.
Hi Kelcy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I never planned on starting a business. Back in 2019 I launched my podcast, Find Your Sexy. It was through conversations with the women on my podcast that I saw a need for support around building self-love and confidence.
I had fought through my struggles with this, including a dangerous eating disorder, an abusive relationship, and a career change from Hollywood that left me feeling like a complete failure. I knew I wanted to use the tools and resources that I learned, to help other women step into their authentic confidence. Now 3 years later, I get to help women feel sexy and confident in their skin every single day!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t know if starting a business has ever been easy for anyone! I had no idea how to build a business when I first started. Luckily, I decided to invest in communities and mentorship that would help me get to where I wanted to go faster. I’m still learning every single day. Sometimes self-doubt creeps in, but I know that what I learn in overcoming that is only going to enable me to better help my clients!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Certified Self-Love and Confidence Coach, Speaker, Podcast Host, and Mirror Talk Guru. I teach women how to reprogram their inner critic into their best friend and step into their authentic confidence through visualization exercises, mindset transformation, and intentional mirror work. I help women through one-on-one coaching, workshops, keynotes, and my self-paced online course, The Confident Queen Code.
I am known for my mirror talk practices and for inspiring women to change the relationship they have with their reflection in the mirror. Along with offering at-home mirror affirmation kits, I have installed self-love mirror displays in multiple women-owned businesses around the valley, and am breaking the stigma of what it means to be a “sexy” woman and love your reflection. All women are sexy and worthy of self-love just as they are right now!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
You don’t need to do what everyone else is doing. Do what you feel called to do… your intuition won’t lead you astray. If you don’t know something, don’t let it stop you from taking action! You are more than capable of learning whatever you need to learn to build whatever it is you want to build. And if you need help, ask! There are so many people who want to help you succeed!
