Meet Kayla Consolo of Deco Adamo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Consolo.

Kayla, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ten years ago, I began my career in the bridal industry as a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist in Chicago, IL. After years of building a loyal clientele and respectable reputation throughout the industry, I took a leap of faith and launched my company, Deco Adamo. My business plan was with the hopes to represent high talent makeup artists and hairstylists under our reputable brand to connect with clientele nationwide. We quickly grew into the beauty powerhouse we are now with over 45+ represented artists and stylists out of our home base of Chicago, Los Angelos, Atlanta and our newest venture, Phoenix. I personally interview and hand pick each of the talents that I choose to represent to ensure that our clients are matched with the artist perfect for their wedding day.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning a business will always come with its peaks and valleys. Being an artist first and businesswoman second, there are many things that I have learned over the years that I wish I could have told my younger entrepreneur self. I believe that a lot of my success has been because of my transparency with artists and clientele alike that we are an organically growing and self-made company that comes from heart and hustle.

Please tell us about Deco Adamo.
Deco Adamo is a nation bridal beauty agency specializing in luxury on-site beauty services for weddings and daily clients alike. We strive to provide an elite experience by representing the high talent, professional, and reputable artists and stylists and use a personalized matching system to make sure we make a stylized match between artist and client. We have a team of beauty coordinators that work one on one with brides from start to finish to ensure all their concerns, questions and of course, scheduling is taken care of and addressed. Is there a quality or characteristic that has played an outsized role in your success?
Being reliable and personal is the key in our profession. We often joke that we are the therapists of the wedding day. We spend your most anticipated moments of life with you and are there to not only make you look and feel beautiful but to take the edge off and be the best friend you didn’t know that you needed there. When you underpromise and overdeliver, you will always be known for the extra mile that you gave to your clients. Going above and beyond will always set you apart from the rest.
