Today we’d like to introduce you to K Dub Media.
K Dub Media, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I picked up my first camera when I was five years old. My dad had me rehearse the words to a song and then filmed me singing it. He added all types of effects to it and just like that, I was hooked. I would just film things over the years and it made me very tech savvy early in the game. As I got older I got into making t-shirts and customizing shoes, and many other small business ventures. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. Around age 22 I was looking to start a business of some sort but didn’t know what exactly. I thought to myself, I’m good at camera work (kind of lol). I just took it seriously at that point and learned so much along the way. I started by just getting out there and believing in myself. Lots of ups and downs of entrepreneurship that I knew nothing about. But I’m 10+ years into owning my own business, over 2000 projects completed and I have my company vehicle. Lots of blessings and consistency are what got me here.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I didn’t know directly what it was to be an entrepreneur, I was just living it, when I started I didn’t know directly what it was to be an entrepreneur I was just living it. Once I educated myself on the subject I was more aware of what all entrepreneurs go through. Things change, times change, and generations change. You have to be able to adapt. Sometimes you have to go back to the drawing board and get creative with any business.
Please tell us about your work.
I’m a film director/editor. I film/edit everything from short films/music videos/weddings/special effects etc. I’m known for my creative editing and great service. I’m proud that I have been in business for 10+ years it has made me a better person and a great entrepreneur. I’m easy to work with and I care and treat your project as if it was my own and will make sure you are satisfied with the final product every time.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have invested more into my business earlier, and studied the ins and outs of being an entrepreneur. I would have skipped a few steps but knowledge is true power. It’s never too late to educate yourself. We live in a time where information is in abundance and free most of the time.
