Today we’d like to introduce you to Jynelle Hatch.
Hi Jynelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I first became pregnant, I knew I’d want to be able to capture every little detail of my babies as they grew so quickly. During my pregnancy, I took online photography courses and began practicing on friends and family, and then soon my kids. through word of mouth, my hobby turned into a business and the rest is history!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting out a business when the COVID shutdown occurred during my first year in business was a challenge. Additionally, balancing home life during “busy season” and learning my maximum schedule capacity was tricky in the beginning when you want to be able to accept every inquiry that comes your way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I photograph genuine moments for growing families from bump and beyond. I love capturing the quiet joy of expecting parents, the sleepy cuddles of a newborn, or the boundless energy of toddlers and growing kids, With that, I enjoy making sure sessions are fun and embody the sweet season that the family is in – capturing their love, their stories, and their unique connections.
As both a wife and a mother, I brings a personal understanding to every session. I can fully relate to the saying, ‘The days are long, but the years go fast. I love to create a space where families feel seen, comfortable, and celebrated. With that many of my clients become repeat customers, returning year after year as their families grow.
My style is warm, natural, and timeless. Focusing on emotion and interaction over poses, and guiding my clients gently while allowing plenty of room for spontaneity is my goal. From maternity shoots to milestone birthdays and family portraits, I offer a full spectrum of services designed to capture every chapter of a family’s journey.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I took photo as an elective in high school, back in the days of film. Our school had a dark room where we would develop our film and prints on site.
