Meet Justin Mercer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Mercer.

Justin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I joined real estate almost a year ago and had a different look and out of the box way to brand myself. I get judged on a daily basis and I wanted to change the stigma on tattooed people in a professional industry. I got some backlash when I first started, which eventually led to the news doing a story on me. I’m almost a year in and am now in the top 1% of Realtors and will close off the year with numbers that far exceed the average agent’s first year. I can go on forever with what I have experienced/accomplished in this year.

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road but nobody has a smooth road in real estate. My look had some hurdles that I had to overcome but for the most part, I have had nothing but support from fellow Realtors, clients, and the public.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m “The Tattooed Realtor,” and I’m a real estate agent who works all over the valley helping people buy/sell real estate. I’m known for the brand and the way I market myself. I do tons of videos made to entertain on social media and bring a fun and different vibe to a business which has stayed pretty much the same for a long time. I’m most proud of the success I have had in my first year. I more than doubled my numbers I was expecting and have shed a different light on what the typical real estate agent looks like. What sets me apart from others? Look at me I’m covered head to toe in tattoos and am tearing down walls of how we judge normal people everyday.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the people and the support from the community. We are all in this together and can accomplish so much more when we lift each other up and stop tearing each other down! I hate the same thing everyone hates, this heat! However, I would rather be dripping in sweat than freezing my ass off.
