Meet Justin Avila

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Avila.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I love to be creative & imaginative. My alias I use is “Odinkaar”. The reason I use an alias is to make myself stand out other than my basic name. I was born in El Paso, TX, then raised between Texas & Arizona. I am currently in Arizona. I grew up with a rough childhood; as years pass, I became mature & responsible faster than others, but it helped me become who I am today. I am very mellow, friendly, & open minded. I like to keep positive motives & look at life in a different way, mainly through my creations. I don’t know what you can classify me as in art; I just love to create things, regardless of platform. I always let my imagination run wild. I love forming projects & making pieces of art that others find satisfying & inspiring. Throughout my life, I enjoy getting inspired; whether if it’s a person, a franchise, music, gaming, history, & even just being in nature. I’m currently trying to find a profession that lets me be able to express myself though my creations. I remember I wanted to be a game developer when I was a kid. Hopefully that statement will become true one day, so wish me luck.

Please tell us about your art.
I like to refer my work as my creations, because it’s not just artwork. Yes, I do digital art, but I also make other projects such as prefabs, videos, something physical, misc. My artwork are my primary creations. visualizing concepts is something I love doing. Making landscapes, design, architecture, forming creatures & wildlife, & many more. I also use Gaming to express myself. Using games like Halo, & others alike, to create & then share my creations. Whenever I create a concept a times, I like to apply a dash of realism to it. Whether it’s aesthetic or attention to detail. Sometimes when I think of something, but I don’t know what I’m getting into, I like to take the time to research the subject. Sometimes this process takes a while, but hey I’m gaining knowledge. This helps me fully understand my subject so I can then have fun making the creation. Hopefully you people enjoy the content that I put out.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Well first things first, if you want to connect with people in general, being social is key. socializing is something we all will get into eventually, regardless of who you socialize with. When connecting with other artists, being respectful & professional is important.; as well as knowing exactly what you’re doing & getting into. If you have a gut feeling that the cooperation isn’t going well, either find some clarification on what’s going on, or just end the connection. Hopefully you have a great experience working with others, be careful out there now.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I post my content on a variety of medias, such as Tumblr(main), Instagram, Forgehub, & YouTube. If you are curious to see all my creations, search up my alias “Odinkaar” for results. Some of my profiles will appear as “Trepidninjaz3r0”, that is due to that name was my first alias before Odinkaar. If you want to support my work, all you have to do is like & share my creations. I’m grateful for the feedback.
