Meet Justice Walton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justice Walton.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Since I was little, I had two interests. Math and art. I had knack with math because it came very easy to me and I was fascinated with how numbers, equations, and algorithms played a part in everything around us. On the flip side, the framework for everything around us may be dominated by mathematics, but art makes that framework tangible and beautiful. In high school I started to take an interest in finance and economics. I got hired at an investment firm and love it! But as I love finance, I also love creative arts. Dealing with numbers all day can be exhausting. That is where photography comes into play. I got my first camera about 3 years ago and I never looked back. Going out, shooting, and finding new locations is my form of meditation.

Please tell us about your art.
My photography stems from what I find is beautiful. When I meet with other photographers they all have their own “style” but for me, my style changes. If I think a picture will look great, I shoot it! As far as inspiration, if anything I wasn’t people pursuing photography to not be scared to shoot outside the box, test out different forms. You never know what type of photography appeals to until you try!

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
I feel the biggest challenge would be the quantity of artists who do work they’re not passionate in. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come across a photographer whose only in it to make money and not make art. Which really affects the artists who genuinely enjoy the work.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Mainly Instagram @j_walton47. I am in the process of creating a website because I hope to be traveling internationally and was hoping to start a blog with all my pictures while traveling abroad. But as of right now my main support comes from my followers and fans on my Instagram!
