Meet Joshua O

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua O.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
What struck my interest was working in a photo lab for 10 years. I started to get an eye for what I thought looked unique and intriguing. Something in me woke up and I simply bought my first camera and started shooting anything and everything. Whatever caught my eye.

I took a few, amazing classes back home are Santa Monica College in L.A. and that’s where I found what really sparked me: time lapse photography. I’ve been chasing the perfect photograph ever since.

Please tell us about your art.
I don’t have a particular inspiration or message really. I’m not that smart. All I hope for is to have a similar effect on a person to what I felt when I was first inspired to become a photographer.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
Do not listen to anyone except the little, itchy, energetic voice in your head.
