Meet Josephyne Hudman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josephyne Hudman.

Josephyne, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m Josephyne Hudman, I’m 21 years old and currently own Josephyne Marie’s. Josephyne Marie’s started when I began to do some soul searching and with being bullied in my school years, it made me more passionate to help others. I also genuinely love to give & when I found esthetics, I immediately fell in love with the career. I knew it was for me. I put my motivation and passion behind making others feel confident and built Josephyne Marie’s after graduating esthetician school. I’m currently working part-time out of a salon in Glendale Az, Lux Salon and Spa.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has been far from easy, but hey if it was easy, I wouldn’t appreciate it as much. It took a lot of getting out of my shell. I grew up suffering from anxiety and talking to people use to be scary for me. Don’t get me wrong I still have anxiety days, but I really taught myself to keep pushing forward and once you get through the situations, you were scared of you look back and think “wow, that wasn’t that hard” then you’ll go on to conquer more. When being a business owner, you face a lot of learning curves especially when it comes to learning a new trade.

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?

Josephyne Marie’s currently offers pixel brows and combination brows. Although I will have skin services coming soon. I’m proud of how many people’s lives Josephyne Marie’s was able to impact positively, even if it’s just not the need for makeup every morning. It still helps others in eliminating and feeling more confident with and without makeup. What sets me apart from others is I actually include two services in the one initial session (it is optional) but I offer a free hair scalp treatment with high frequency. It stimulates hair growth and helps cut down on dandruff as well! Each session is completely unique as everyone is totally different.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
In all honesty, I am blessed in this aspect. I have a son who is my biggest motivation and my family that are my cheerleaders. My parents have been the biggest supporters as they have taken time out of their busy lives to help me because they see how passionate I am in this industry. My siblings had believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and continue to uplift me. My husband has also been great in helping me with ideas. I have had friends who are the best and continue to push me and of course, my clients who trust me to do their brows. I definitely wouldn’t be where I am without my wonderful clients.

Microblading Initial session – 250.00 Semi permanent tattoo that is hair like strokes mimicking real hair.
