Meet Joselinne Spertina and Daniel Tellez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joselinne Spertina and Daniel Tellez.

Joselinne and Daniel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In the beginning of our relationship, we quickly realized we shared a passion for photography. We had no problem being in front or behind the camera, we’re NOT shy. What drew us to pursue our own photography business was the ability to create something from nothing and how something as subtle as lighting or compensation can create a variety of emotions. So one day, we just threw up our hands and said, “What the heck!” and created our business.

We’ve dabbled into a little bit of everything, but found that we have a niche for portraits, product/lifestyle and real estate photography. Being able to capture those precious moments of couples or families to showcasing a companies products or services is valuable to us because we too have a family and businesses, so we relate to our clients. The advantage that we have is that no two people will capture the same image. Being a husband and wife team, our creativity has no limits. We’re barely scratching the surface.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part that we’ve encountered was when we were first starting, we didn’t know in which direction to go. Should we photograph everything or should we just focus on a handful of things? We thought that by being versatile and photographing everything, we would reach a broader audience. After a few events that we were hired for, we quickly realized that it wasn’t a “one size fits all” when it came to different areas of photography. Therefore, we decided to hone in on the areas that were the most fun for both of us because why do things that you don’t enjoy?

Please tell us more about your business.
We are a husband and wife photography duo! We are known for “taking badass photos”! Our main areas of focus and what we’re most passionate about are portraits, product/lifestyle and property/real estate photography. Recently we’ve been incorporating videography in addition to our photography. The proudest moments that we have had are constant growth in each other from shoot to shoot and the relationships that we’ve created with our clients. What sets us apart are the two perspectives we offer, our dynamic and our ability to not conform to the mainstream “Pinterest” style photos. Our style in itself is what sets us apart.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moments that we have had are constant growth in each other from shoot to shoot and the relationships that we’ve created with our clients.
