Meet Jolandis Farris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jolandis Farris.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Since a young age, I have always been into capturing moments to keep forever so that one day I can look back at those photos, take a few seconds and relive that moment. After buying my first camera, I fell more in love with taking pictures. I did not go to school for photography. I taught myself everything I know so far. I continue to expand my knowledge through online research, YouTube, my friends, books and reaching out to other photographers/artist.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a visual artist who creates art using both my camera and my editing software. I take all kinds of pictures. Landscapes, portraits, nature, LinkedIn photos, urban, artsy photos, events, cities and city lights. It is a passion of mine. Not only do I capture moments that last a lifetime, I am bringing those precious occasions to life for my clients, my friends, and followers. I put a lot of heart and emotion behind my work. I want my followers to try and feel what I feel when I capture and edit my visuals. I do this for the love and passion I have for expressing myself within my visuals. I am an emotional being with a huge imagination, and I want people to see that in my work.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
My advice to any artist out there is to continue to create. Tap into that creative imagination you have and share it! There are tons of people out there who feel what you feel. Some also need inspiration. I believe all artist should encourage other Artist to continue to create and share. Continue to put your heart and feelings into your work. Keep creating and Share!

People can see my work on my Instagram page and my website that I personally created to share my photography portfolio. You can also purchase some of my work on another website that I use to sell my artwork. Soon to be on Facebook.
