Meet Joanna Burgos of Virtual Jo, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joanna Burgos

Hi Joanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I decided to become a business owner when I found out I was pregnant with my first. I was sitting at home working my 9-5 when I realized that I could be doing this exact job on my terms. I quickly researched how to become a virtual assistant and one thing led to another, and now I successfully have my own business with several clients.

It has given me the freedom to spend time with my family while also making an income for myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I knew that becoming an entrepreneur was not going to be easy, but I did not think it would be this hard. I have struggled and like a roller coaster, it has its ups and downs.

I think as long as you are prepared for the downfalls (especially if they are money-related) then you will be okay. Most importantly, you need to remain consistent and your business will continue moving past all the challenges that come your way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I help online coaches stand out on socials through magnetic messaging and content creation. Although my focus is assisting coaches, I also have assisted authors, realtors, and other professionals.

My services include email management, scheduling and calendar management, social media management, client onboarding/offboarding, content creation, billing and invoicing, market research, outreach, customer services, and more.

My skills set me apart from others because of my soft skills. Which include, empathy, resourcefulness, creativity, kindness, thoughtfulness, and problem-solving. I always make sure that my clients feel they can trust me with their tasks and handling of their business.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was going to my grandparent’s house in Maricopa and playing outside all day. They had farm animals, tons of “obstacles”, and delicious homemade food. Their neighbor had a daughter the same as me, so we would run around their land and play with anything we could find. I loved being imaginative and making up stories along the way.
