Meet Jim Alexander of Valley Women’s Ensemble

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jim Alexander.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jim. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Valley Women’s Ensemble started as a small choir in the middle of Phoenix around 2012. We have since grown into a viable member of the choral community here in the Valley that will be performing with the women of the Phoenix Chorale and the Phoenix Girls Chorus at the upcoming 6th annual Songfest music festival in April.

Has it been a smooth road?
We’ve certainly had our share of growing pains, but we have been fortunate to have a consistent leadership team that has allowed us to appeal to a broad range of singers. Because of this, we’ve continued to grow and become active members of the arts community here in Phoenix.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Valley Women’s Ensemble story. Tell us more about the business.
Valley WE stand apart from other choirs around Phoenix due to not only the accessibly of our music but also our performances as well. We believe that art is also fun, and we strive to bring our art to the Phoenix community in a way that is both passionate and engaging.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The Phoenix art community continues to grow and evolve. We are excited to be members of that community, and we hope to have a big impact on where this impressive culture goes over the next decade.

Our goal is to encourage people to participate in the arts community by either being a part of the choir or by attending our performances. We feel that a vibrant and inclusive culture is necessary to the success of any community.
