Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerzie Loving.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started home design as a creative outlet after my husband and I moved into our first house—right around the same time I graduated and began working as a sonographer. Suddenly, I had a blank canvas and a little extra time on my hands, and I quickly fell in love with designing spaces—starting with my own. At first, I’d share my projects and ideas with family and friends, but before long I began posting them on my personal social media page. With a little encouragement, I took the leap and created a page dedicated entirely to this newfound passion—and Loving Home Designs was born. I still consider myself a very small influence in my little corner of the internet, but I’ve been fortunate to start offering home design services upon request. It’s been such a joy watching this creative outlet grow into something that connects me with others who love beautiful, meaningful spaces just as much as I do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve always loved being creative. Growing up, I spent hours in art and pottery classes, constantly looking for any time I could spend being creative. I’ve always felt happiest when I have a project that lets me dream, create, and bring ideas to life.
But like many people, there were seasons when those passions had to be set aside. During a difficult marriage, I slowly lost touch with that creative side of myself. Life felt heavy, and the spark I once had for making and dreaming all but disappeared.
After that chapter closed with a divorce, I poured everything into a different dream I had wanted for years, ultrasound school. My focus shifted entirely to my studies and building a stable future, and for a while, I forgot how much joy creativity once brought me. Then I met and married my husband, and he brought so much light and happiness into my life. It was like remembering who I was again, and with that came the return of my love for creating. That joy eventually found its home in design. When we moved into our first house, I finally had a blank canvas again, and Loving Home Designs grew from there.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Through Loving Home Designs, I create spaces that feel warm, personal, and lived-in—homes that tell a story. My approach is rooted in the belief that beautiful design doesn’t have to be complicated or out of reach; it’s about creating spaces that bring comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging.
I specialize in approachable, timeless interiors with a balance of vintage charm and modern simplicity. I love blending textures, layers, and meaningful pieces that reflect the people who live in the space. Whether it’s refreshing a single room or curating a full-home design, I focus on capturing that feeling of home; cozy, intentional, and deeply personal.
What I’m most proud of is how this creative outlet has grown from something deeply personal into an opportunity to serve others. I’ve been able to help clients bring their visions to life and create spaces that make their homes feel like an extension of who they are.
What sets me apart is my background outside of design. As a diagnostic medical sonographer, I’m trained to pay attention to detail and see beauty in precision and purpose—skills that naturally carry into my design process.
At its heart, Loving Home Designs isn’t just about decorating a space—it’s about helping others fall in love with their homes again.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Design-wise, I’m inspired by creatives such as Brooke Christen of @nestingwithgrace, Shea McGee of @studiomcgee, and Joanna Gaines. Spiritually, I find guidance for my personal life through the Book of Mormon and modern conference talks from leaders in my faith.
