Meet Jeremy Wolf of MindReady

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Wolf

Hi Jeremy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in Arizona, playing baseball against the best in the country. I never felt like I was good enough, even though I was, and the stats showed it. I also knew I never handled my emotions the way I needed to. Some guys could just “let it go”.

I played college baseball and won a national championship at a DIII school in Texas called Trinity University. I was drafted to play professionally for the New York Mets and then was fortunate enough to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with Israel. I had a successful baseball career! The game gave me so much but I still never felt confident and never had the training or even someone to talk to in order to help me prepare or recover from competition.

That’s why my team and I built MindReady. We’re dedicated to providing athletes, parents, and coaches the mental performance education and resources needed to create the best people possible, both on the field and in the classroom.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building a business is hard, nobody said it was going to be easy. With MindReady, we spend time educating our community on the importance of mental performance education and coaching. However, there are always people who will, of course, not believe that that is relevant for athletes to use. Some people think athletes should be able to perform their best without any training on how to handle failure, manage nerves, or meditate.

But… I love having those conversations with people. This education helps athletes perform better. Our 1-on-1 and group coaching has proven to help athletes and teams communicate more efficiently, which has led to more wins during their season. MindReady provides athletes with the ability to talk to a sports psychology coach whenever they need or want to. That resource as an athlete we believe is so valuable to their personal development as well as the culture of sports. We are proud to help so many athletes and teams win more.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MindReady?
MindReady provides mental performance coaching and education, including group training for teams, one-on-one coaching for individual athletes, and a library of education. We’re so proud of the community and culture we have built, helping athletes, parents, and coaches create better environments for athletes to perform their best on and off the field.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’ve always been outgoing and can have a conversation about anything with anyone. And I love that. It’s made my work so much fun, getting to meet new people and share my passion for MindReady and what we’re building. That’s why I know what we’re doing at MindReady is already successful. Our team is passionate about every athlete’s mental performance, and we love that we get to share and talk about its importance with people in our community and across the nation.
