Meet Jennifer Trinh of Gilbert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Trinh.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, I’m Jen, the founder of Balloon Baby AZ — a creative specializing in premium balloon installations and curated event styling. What started as a spark of inspiration in early 2024, has now exponentially flourished into a thriving business, thanks to the incredible support of the Phoenix and East Valley communities. Balloon Baby AZ turns everyday celebrations into unforgettable moments, combining color, creativity, and vision with personable customer service that leaves a lasting impression.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been the smoothest road, I had no idea how much work was required behind the scenes to sustain a thriving business. My weeks are busy filled with business book keeping, client intakes/correspondence, digital mock ups, switching to and from multiple social media channels and many hours of physical labor.
Some months I feel a degree of burn out and others I’m motivated to push the comfort levels of the business in order to continue to grow.
I realize now that balance is the key to longevity. By working hard and making solid, informed decisions along the way, it allows me the freedom to rest when I need to.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
When I started my business, I had the naivety in thinking that my business would primarily be for supporting birthday parties. I was shown that every milestone could be celebrated in similar ways. I was hired for all of life’s moments from engagements, baby showers, birthdays, graduations, business openings to celebrations of life.

I’m most proud of building a business my little girls are so thrilled to promote. You’ll catch me grinning ear to ear whenever my girls pick their “Balloon Baby AZ” t-shirts to wear for the day.

Creating beautiful installations is always so fun, but the relationships I have and new connections that I’ve formed are at the top of the list of things that I love most about this business.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love how community orientated our city is. We continue to plan parks, buildings, spaces, programs and events around the enrichment of family circles, people and those in our communities. I love that!
