Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenesis Laforcarde.

Jenesis is a product of an ever changing world growing up as a military child and traveling the world from Europe to Asia. With both her parents in top rankings in the military she has had the best examples growing up and understands the meaning of hard work. With her diverse background creativity comes easy to her she can visualize each client’s needs and transform them into spotlights.

Jenesis, founded woman’s touch apparel to fill a missing niche in the world of fashion. Jenesis is taking the fashion world by storm on the heels of the neo feminist movement that her line speaks to. As a buyer and fashion/ wardrobe stylist, Jenesis has worked throughout the world in all capacities including showing at New York fashion week and being the lead designer and fashion show coordinator for the amber rose slut walk. This multi-talented, young, fashion designer has been known for her relentless determination, ambition, and desire to make her mark on the fashion world.

Her motivation for woman’s touch apparel was inspired while researching the rights of Saudi Arabian women. She became vividly aware of the mistreatment of women from this region and was driven by their muted voices and the social injustices they faced-“woman’s touch” apparel was born. Woman’s touch apparel is more than a fashion line; it is an avid community of women enthusiast who are committed to empowerment and becoming agents of change throughout the globe. Jenesis stands for woman empowerment which led her to create her own brand woman’s touch apparel and with her passion to give back to the community she co-founded brave wings fashion show an annual show that supports a local non-profit organization.

Jenesis is a self-made entrepreneur who continues to create new trends, and work with some of the industry’s most influencers.

Has it been a smooth road?
I would say the biggest struggle for me would be having too much on my plate. I have always struggled with saying yes to every opportunity because I was afraid to miss out on something, but as I continue to grow I have realized that not every opportunity is the best one for me.

In a world where women continue to fight for equal rights these designs deliver messages regarding individual importance and encouragement. With a line representative of women, the ultimate goal is to support the coming together of all women and to encourage support for one another, beyond religion, race, size or sexuality!

Woman’s touch apparel is dedicated to the celebration of women everywhere. It is a t-shirt line that proclaims women’s empowerment, self-respect, beauty and self-worth, while encouraging women to support one another through fashion. Each statement is a confirmation of the importance we are as human beings and the force we all possess. We do make a difference and deserve to be heard and seen as the beautiful creatures we are. Remember, if beauty is in the eye of the beholder, behold!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Definitely! Phoenix is a perfect startup location. There is a little bit of everything out here! When I started fashion about 7 years ago it was not as big as it is now! I am so happy that it is growing tremendously!
