Meet Jazz and Treasure of It’s Alchemy Luxury Self-care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazz and Treasure.

Jazz and Treasure, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We’ve been in Gilbert for a little more than one year! When we arrived in December of 2021, we were Newlyweds in a New Place, that seemed like a million miles from home. We were sure of the life we wanted but we weren’t exactly sure of how we’d get there!

After a few months to settle in and finally remember how to get home from the nearest Walmart, lol, we got back to work! We combined our once separate businesses and entered into yet another partnership with each other! With a major Rebranding, we said “Farewell” to Kiss My Artistry Luxury Self-care and Treat Yourself Massage Therapy & Relaxation.

In May 2022, we debuted “It’s Alchemy Luxury Self-care” and never looked back!

It was fitting because ever since Treasure and I met in 2019, we’ve been calling each other The Healer and The Magician. As a Massage Therapist and Singer/Songwriter, I’ve been blessed with the talents and opportunities to share the message of healing through physical touch and song! And if you’ve ever seen Treasure in the kitchen with her herbs and oils and such, or you’ve sat in her chair as she enhances your natural beauty with her makeup brush, then you know why she is The Magician!

But even deeper than the Trades that we’ve studied or mastered, we started to recognize ourselves AND each other as BOTH, The Healer & The Magician. And we know that we were ALL created with a Healer AND a Magician inside!

Have you ever kissed a child’s “boo-boo” and made it better!? Healer. We just might call you Mom or Dad or Auntie! Have you ever made dinner stretch even though you didn’t have much or even just figured out how to make do with what you had in some other way and it turned out great!? See you’re the Magician, too!

And when we, or you, or any of us; use our magic to heal ourselves and transform our lives for the better, THAT is Alchemy! We are It’s Alchemy Luxury Self-care, and we want to encourage you to alchemize your own life through Intentional Self-care! If you don’t remember anything else about us, we want you to remember to be Intentional with yourself! From the products you use to the ingredients in those products AND how you speak to yourself when using them!

Since May of 2022, we’ve been busy, lol! With the same AMAZING products that our East Coast customers loved and some new products; we presented a complete Skin, Body & Haircare Line of products and accessories to the Phoenix Pop Up Shop & Local Vendor Market Community!

In less than 12 months, we’ve been blessed to support some really large markets like Archwood Exchange, Rep Your Brand, Vegan Vybez with Hot Sauce & Pepper, and Grassrootz, to name a few. We’ve been regulars at a growing Paint & Sip in Mesa and at the exciting Chief ‘n Chill Heart-Centered Markets! We were even recently invited to “pop up” our store at The Super Huge “Women’s Empowerment Expo” at the Phoenix Convention Center! It was such a great time!

We also landed a few partnerships or collaborations with some local well-known performing artists and Influencers. AND We signed our first wholesale contract with the only Black Owned Beauty Supply Store in our town on February 1st, 2023!

Not too bad for the first 9 months, huh!? Still a small business with not much help or additional resource, our main goal is to grow our brand’s reach and to encourage Intentional Self-care! We are so grateful to anyone who is willing to aid us in doing so! Thank you, Voyage for allowing us to continue sharing our story and our message!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, especially if you consider all that we both had to endure and overcome to get here. We’ve had our fair share of struggles growing up, and even in more recent years, we’ve dealt with some really tough losses.
We’ve had to grieve relationships with people who are no longer living, people who live across the country and even the people who WE used to be.
Despite all of the things we lose in this life, we do our best to remember and remain grateful for all of the things that we continue to gain! Strength, Courage, and Wisdom; not just an amazing, uplifting song by India Arie, but some of the things attributed to the struggles of life AND Entrepreneurship!
We’d love to hire more hands to help us and have investors show up to offer us the resources that we desperately need but in the meantime, we’ll continue showing up with what we have, doing our best to make an impact and believing that the Creator will always reward our best effort with provision, as long as we stay in our purpose!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
If Alchemy can be described as “the seemingly magical process of transformation”, and we are all Healing or Transforming in one way or another, then we are all alchemists! We are just here to remind you of your power and encourage you to alchemize your own life through Intentional Self-care.

Whether it’s the products you use, what’s in those products, or how you speak to yourself when you use them. It matters! You are the Magic that heals you and you deserve to be good to you! We offer All-natural, Handmade Luxury Self-care Products, Accessories, Intention Tools, Healing Services, Pamper Sessions and so much more! Simply put, we are ALL THINGS SELF-CARE!

Our products. We have Skin, Body, and Hair care systems proven to Heal, Hydrate, and Grow! We also have a Soul Care Collection, complete with Hand Mixed Tea Blends and Hand-poured Intention Candles. These are the products we’ve been using to heal ourselves externally, as we do the continual work of healing ourselves internally!

Wherever you are on your Self-care Journey, we encourage you to find more ways to be intentional with yourself and make the simple things sacred. Stay in your Magic.

Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Love this question! And we ABSOLUTELY recommend finding a mentor or two (or a few)!

Get active in your community! Network and put yourself out there! See who is doing what you want to do, making the impact you want to make, AND the income you desire! Then make friends and ask questions! You’ll find that most people are willing to help you because someone helped them! But you’ve got to be willing to ask for help! Once people know that you are interested in what they can teach you, the floodgates open right up so be ready to learn, then take action!

And don’t be afraid to continue the cycle by sharing what you’ve been taught, with someone else!

So not only do we suggest having a mentor but we strongly suggest BEING a mentor. Be willing to share what you learn, that’s how knowledge becomes wisdom!
