Meet Jaycee Reidhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaycee Reidhead.

Hi Jaycee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my photography journey when I was very young, always borrowing my mom’s camera to take pictures of whatever I found interesting.

When I got older, I started using photography to document my travels and adventures with my dog. Last year a friend of mine reached out for me to take her maternity photos and I realized how much I really loved it. Right then and there I decided to turn it into a business and start photographing other people’s love stories.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting something new is always challenging, and while I’ve been photographing as a hobby for a long time, finding the right clientele and advertising my business has been difficult. I love what I do and I know that building a successful business takes time and patience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a photographer, I love creating timeless memories that people can look back on and bring them back to a moment. Life is all about the special moments and being able to capture those for others is what I truly love. I believe that I’m able to truly photograph the love and sense of adventure that people have for each other and nature.

What do you think about luck?
I believe in creating your own luck, and while it can seem nice to go viral or have something randomly propel you into a large audience or clientele, your hard work ethic really sets you apart in the long run. Without strong goals and a work ethic, luck will run out. I strive to build a good foundation for myself so that my business can grow authentically.
