Meet Jay Orders

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jay Orders. Jay was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Rachel Neill.

Jay , thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?

My work and company is an American family tradition. Since 1931 my family has been manufacturing sleep mattresses in the U.S! As a kid I grew up playing in busy and fast moving mattress factories, the manufacturing business is in my blood! After college I set out to take on the family business, and today I am the president and co-founder of Engineered Sleep, a fourth generation mattress manufacturer and supplier. I’m grateful to be able to continue my great-grandfather’s legacy.

It’s not something our team takes lightly- We work hard to push out great high quality products and strive for excellence with each and every customer who comes our way. We have a standard to uphold and the bar was set high by the generations before us.

Please tell us more about your brand, Partner at Engineered Sleep LLC

We are a home grown mattress manufacturer catering to the e-commerce industry. We provide mattresses for various uses including residential, RV, boating, and trucking. And many custom made orders too. Whatever you need, we likely have it! More recently we jumped into the kids play couch space and partnered with FiggyPlay.com!

Rachel Neill and Figgy Play have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Rachel Neill and Figgy Play and your experience with them.

I connected with Rachel several years ago. I was immediately drawn to her positive energy and amazing personality. She is a savvy businesswoman and a wonderful partner. I have continued to be amazed by her ability to take a vision and turn it into a reality. Rachel is amazing at connecting with people and I attribute that to the fact that she takes the time to really invest in those around her. Everything about Rachel is genuine, and it is so much fun working on this project with her. The fact that she dreams big is another plus. It is very difficult to launch a consumer product successfully, especially during covid, but her determination and perseverance have been infectious and the team has really followed her lead.
