Meet Jason Stewart of Desert Shed in Whole Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Stewart.

Jason, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started Desert Shed after four years of experience as a carpenter for residential construction and seeing a demand in the market for a more custom option for sheds. If you go look at those home depot sheds they all look basically the same, boring, cookie-cutter designs. With Desert Shed I make each shed a work of art, they are all unique and custom.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I recently decided to take the risk of doing this full time rather than just a side type of business, however, it appears that risk may have and will be paying off.

Please tell us about Desert Shed.
We offer custom-built sheds for the Phoenix Metro area. Desert Shed works directly with clients to create and build a custom-designed shed with the highest standards in quality, and craftsmanship. Our competitors offer only bland cookie-cutter designs that just make an eyesore in your backyard. Our clients love the fact that we build sheds matching their home, or incorporate specific dimensional specifications.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I’ve had old bosses and foreman that have really mentored and taught me the skills required to do this type of business, and I am very grateful for their guidance.

Pricing:

  • Each shed is custom, so I can not provide a specific price. However the average shed I build is around 3-4k.
