Meet Jared and Sharaya Maples

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared and Sharaya Maples.

Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. You can include as little or as much detail as you’d like.
In 2012, Sharaya and I met in a pretty unconventional manner, which today would seem normal, we met on Facebook. At 19 years old, that Facebook photo caught my eye, and after going back and forth for a couple of days over Messenger, we met up on the college campus we both attended and the rest is history. After a few years of dating other people and finding our ways… God brought us back together and we got engaged on December 28th, 2014. June 6th, 2015, we got married and it was the most magical day for both of us.

As we began gearing up for “real life” together, Sharaya quickly realized that she wasn’t going to be able to take naps throughout the day to supplement for the lack of energy she had. She had struggled since high school with confidence since working out and attending practice two hours a day five days a week was no longer part of her lifestyle. We both decided to start #shreddingforthewedding. We started implementing lifestyle nutrition rebalancing products in February of 2015 to get in the best shape of our lives. Little did we know it, our lives would be forever changed because of that choice.

After seven months of silently using the products, we got back from our honeymoon and so many of Sharaya’s friends were asking her what she did to lose 20 lbs and drop three dress sizes. Some of them were upset that she didn’t share with them sooner. At that moment, we realized after being unfulfilled and stuck in our previous careers, we could share these product systems with other people and help them on their health journeys while getting paid to do it.

Sharaya and I talked about some of our hesitations and fears with putting ourselves out there and we concluded that we were being selfish by not sharing what has impacted our lives so drastically from a wellness perspective. We knew that if we could serve people well and never make anyone feel pressured into a sales decision, that we would do this. It was always on our hearts to help people, and this seemed like the perfect vehicle to do so, especially since everyone eats food. That’s when our brand/business was born, Team Rebalance. We had the vision to help thousands of people rebalance their lives physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. We recognized that people lay in bed at night praying for a solution, and we knew that we could help change the trajectory of their lives physically and financially. All we had to do was put our ego and fear aside, and get into the action with great expectation.

Fast forward four years and a lot of hard work, highs, and lows…we are now living a life by design rather than by default. We are fully present with one another, choose how we spend our days, and most importantly can give and serve as we had always wanted. In the coming weeks, we are welcoming our first baby boy into the world! We are so excited for the next season of parenthood. Knowing we will be fully present for not only his first step but every step for the rest of his life, that is the beauty of what we do. And the best part? We get to invite anyone who desires more out of life to join us.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been the smoothest. Entrepreneurship is a crazy journey in itself. Whenever you set out and do something untraditional, especially being young, people will have opinions. What we found early on is by plugging into a mentorship that has walked the same path we are on and truly has the lifestyle we desire, it becomes much easier to recognize that someone’s negative opinions of your choices in entrepreneurship are often insecurities they possess themselves.

We have started a traditional business, we have ventured into real estate, and what we have found is that those paths all require a large initial investment upfront. What we have created in Team Rebalance through the Network Marketing industry, is a community that equips all people to grow personally and learn skills while they earn income. The industry provides a level-playing field for people of all backgrounds, education levels and socio-economic circumstances.

Coupled with the professional challenges that we encounter, so much of what we share in our lives are public, so when we encounter hardship, we do our very best with discernment to share authentically the struggles in our personal life as well.

There has been a lot of bumps along the journey but we are grateful for the lessons and wisdom that we have received through the trials. One of our biggest struggles was trying to have kids since Sept 2017 and having a tough go at it.

In 2018 we experienced two back to back losses which as you can imagine, completely devastated us and our families who have been so eager. We have been open to sharing our story because we know that miscarriage and child loss often happens and it isn’t talked about publicly. We have been able to relate to thousands and help others through their tough seasons as well because of our journey. We are now welcoming our rainbow baby boy into the world and are so excited to close that once dark chapter in our amazing life story.

Tell us about your business/company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
What sets our business and industry apart is our incredible culture, products that are backed by science, and compensation plan for those that choose to take part in our business opportunity. We help people rebalance their lives physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially while walking alongside our customers in their journey of self-betterment. We specialize in total body transformation and getting results that you can’t get anywhere else.

We are most proud of the thousands of people that have come along for the ride and started their journeys of physical and financial freedom. It’s all about creating more options in your life, and we are intentional with the messaging that this business opportunity does not have to be your full-time gig. It can be a side-hustle to help create additional cash flow to do more of the things you desire!

How do you, personally, define success? What’s your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for, etc?
Success is an interesting concept. Most label success by how much you have or don’t have, perhaps a monetary value, and whether you have achieved the perceived level of “success” often determines your happiness. I don’t believe that money makes you happy. I believe it is about the impact you’re making and judging your success based on the joy and fulfillment in your heart, regardless of your title, position, or paycheck. Are you happy when you wake up and live your life? If so, I believe you have achieved success.
